Pastor Sherman Gordius, Interim Pastor


Pastor Sherman joins us from Christ By the Lake Lutheran in Bull Shoals, AR. He was born an army brat at Camp Roberts, CA. He attended Western Washington University in Bellingham, WA majoring in Psychology. He attended seminary in Berkley, CA at Pacific Lutheran Theological Seminary. After spending much of his time out west, he was called here to the Ozarks and has been ministering at Christ By The Lake in Bull Shoals. He is married to Vicki and has one daughter, Jessica. We are grateful for his dual service to Christ By The Lake and Holy Cross.  



Daniel Schmidt, Music Director


Baptized and raised Lutheran, church music has always been a part of Dan's life. Influenced by his Mom and Dad, and led by the Holy Spirit, the Lutheran Hymnal was a standard on the family piano. He likes all types of worship music from traditional to contemporary, and Christmas music is his most favorite of all. Dan grew up in Grafton, WI, where he met and married his high school sweetheart Donna. Together they have two children, and two granddaughters that they love to spend time with. Dan loves to bake and dabble in all kinds of art whether it be candle making, stained glass, and even quilting.





Keisha Henning, Church Secretary

Keisha was born in Illinois and originally moved to the area in 1995. She moved around a bit living various places in Illinois, Missouri, and Michigan before settling back in Arkansas in 2006.   Keisha enjoys bowling, going to the movies, board games, reading and spending time with her loved ones.


She joined our staff in November 2017 and does a wonderful job of running the office. She enjoys working along side the Pastor and helping the congregation in any way she can.
